| LDS Tech » Blog Archive » Utah Mobile Developers Group Created - For its inaugural meeting, the Utah Mobile Developers Group will be meeting tonight at the Salt Lake City Public Library. Rather than focusing on a specific platform or technology, this group is open to all mobile technologies. Tonight, there will be presentations on Google’s Android mobile platform and Apple’s iPhone.
Personally, I haven’t done development for any mobile devices, but with more and more people with mobile internet access, this is bound to be a huge growth area for businesses. What do you tell your boss when he wants you to start a new project that requires a mobile interface component?
Based on the group site listed in the original post (http://www.utahmobiledev.org/) the next meeting is on December 3. They are looking for presenters, so if you don’t mind presenting on the apps that you have done, it would be a good introduction to the group. Most of the attendees haven’t done any mobile apps, rather they are trying to learn how to do them.

Nice! I didn’t even know such a group existed.
I’m the developer of the “LDS Books” and “The Bible” iPhone scripture applications. I just live down in South Jordan. When is the next meeting?
